My 15 Most Worn Items Lately

Lately, I’ve noticed that I’m reaching for the same items in my closet repeatedly. While I get immense joy from putting together new outfits, my ever-changing pregnancy body has a mind of its own. I now gravitate towards comfort and simplicity with the occasional trendy item. Truthfully, I kind of like it. Having limited options has made getting dressed in the morning a stress-free process. Below, you will find my most worn items that I wear on a daily or weekly basis. I actually started keeping these items in a separate area of my closet so I can find them easily when I need to get out the door quickly. The best part? You can mix and match the pieces to create a variety of outfits. The choices are limited and the possibilities are endless, the best combination for an organized closet.

Black knit midi dress

This is one of my favorite pregnancy outfits and it’s not even maternity. I bought this dress a few years ago from the brand, Privacy Please, and it has been the dress I reach for most often. I’ve been wearing this black knit dress since the beginning of my pregnancy and continue to wear it today at 27 weeks pregnant. It is truly an essential component of a classic wardrobe. I love the ribbed detailing and expandability that allows it to grow as I grow. Unfortunately, the dress I’m wearing is out of stock but I linked some near identical versions above (like this one).

Everlane white t-shirt

This is a great fitting white t-shirt that has gradually gotten small on me but I ordered another one and sized up for a loser fit. This has proven to be incredibly useful as my waistline expands by the minute. I wear the shirt often with denim or under a slip dress.

Lululemon Align Pant II 25”

I have yet to find a pair of maternity leggings that actually fit well. They usually pill or keep falling so I need to constantly pull them up. My pre-pregnancy Lululemon leggings have been one of my most worn items. I usually wear them with the checkered sneakers below, a hoodie and a structured coat on top when I need to run out the door quickly, aka preschool drop-off. All the items are included above if you’re looking for a quick everyday outfit. I recommend sizing up if you’re using these as maternity leggings.

Sarah Flint Sparkly Heels

These have been my most worn heels this holiday season. I have the Perfect Pump 100 in ‘Gunmetal Lame Fabric’ and the black suede. For $50 off, use my code, “BATANYA50.” The black suede version makes for a great work shoe that is actually comfortable. It also comes in two lower heel heights depending on preference.

Everlane black slip dress

I’m so thankful for this dress and its loose fit. This was my go-to during the holidays. I usually styled it with a blazer or a white t-shirt underneath and booties. It’s under $100, great quality and a classic item I will wearing long after I deliver.

Beige booties

I have been wearing these boots since late summer and love them. They hit the ankle at just the right place so you can show just the right amount of skin with ankle jeans. I know this doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things but finding ankle boots that look good with the appropriate length jeans is no small feat. I have them in the ‘Tortilla Suede’ color.

Abercrombie grey plaid coat

You’re probably sick of hearing me write about this coat but I can’t stop. The price point can’t be beat, particularly with the frequent sales Abercrombie has had this holiday season. It’s one of those outerwear pieces that elevates anything you’re wearing underneath, even when it’s sweatpants and a hoodie. The one I’m wearing above is currently sold out but here is a strikingly similar version for $52.99. I also love this one.

Black leather jacket

We’ve had some warmer days in December so I’ve been layering my black leather jacket over a sweater with a scarf. I bought this one via Nordstrom Trunk Club a few years ago but it’s sold out now. I linked a similar draped version above.

Beige hoodie

A chic beige hoodie under a leather jacket or a structured coat feels cozy and looks chic. Mine is from Zara but it’s sold out so I linked a similar one here.

Van checkered sneakers

Confession-I originally bought these checkered sneakers so I could match my son’s toddler version but now that he’s grown out of his, I’m continuing to wear these on a daily basis. They’re comfortable and add a nice pattern to my usual everyday look.

Grey knit joggers

I’ve had these grey knit joggers for a few years now and they’re my favorite pair of sweatpants. In the Summer, I wear them with a white t-shirt and denim jacket. For colder weather, I tuck them into boots and wear a sweater and structured coat on top.

Calvin Klein Sports Bra

This sports bra is great for the gym or as part of an athleisure-type look. I like to wear it with an off-the-shoulder sweater and leggings when running errands.

AllSaints slip dress and sweater

I love this slip dress and sweater combination. I have this set in forest green and the lavender color. Whenever I get sick of wearing the set together, I wear the pieces separately. I wore the green slip dress with a turtle neck underneath and the cozy green sweater with high-waisted denim and boots. I’m planning on wearing the slip dress this Spring and Summer with various layering pieces.

Madewell black skinny jeans

Madewell is one of my favorite brands for great-fitting denim that lasts and fits exceptionally well. I recently purchased the maternity version of these jeans with the stretchy side panel, which I prefer to the over-the-belly variety. Here is the non-maternity version.

Madewell beige tote

I bought this tote a few years ago via Nordstrom Trunk Club and it’s still my everyday bag. It’s now on sale for $75 (vs. $158) so get it before it sells out. The only negative I see in this bag is that it holds a ton of stuff and I treat it like the bottomless bag I feel it is. Items that may or may not be at the bottom include diapers, empty raisin boxes and other children’s snacks, Perry’s hair ties, lip glosses I’ve been looking everywhere for, and a container of wipes (just in case).

What are some of your most worn items? 🙂
