Happy Sunday! I wanted to share a program I’ve been volunteering the past few years called Brushes with Cancer. This program matches artists with individuals touched by cancer (inspirations) and over a six month period, the artists and inspirations work together to create a unique work of art that is reflective of the inspiration’s journey with […]

Happy Independence Day! I feel so grateful to be in this country and often think about how different life would be in my birth country, Ukraine, if my parents never immigrated to the United States. I consider it their greatest gift to my brother and me. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend celebrating the […]

Hello! How are you? Happy Memorial Day weekend!  I’m very much late to the game on this but i’ve been staying up late every day this week watching Arrested Development. I can’t believe I never watched it when it was originally on. Have you seen it? I almost wish I didn’t discover it […]

I’m writing this post from my parent’s house and it is glorious. They’re currently watching Brody while I get in some uninterrupted blog time. We’ve been hanging out here all day and I can’t help but think about all the times I played in this same room with my little brother when he was […]

A week ago, I picked up the kids from school and we walked home together instead of our usual car commute. It was a beautiful, unexpectedly warm day in the high 60s, enveloped by cold status quo days. As we came closer to our house, some of the kids in the neighborhood were riding scooters […]

The Sunday Edit How are you? How are you feeling? My kids have been on Spring Break this week and we’ve been loving the downtime together. Brody turned one a few weeks ago so we had a mini celebration at home. J and I decided that once things feel safe again, we’re having a big […]

There’s something about this photo that makes me smile – Brody’s inquisitive look, my happiness, our togetherness. I can just imagine myself looking back on this photo twenty years from now and remembering this moment in the park, taking a break from everything. Just sitting together enjoying the sunshine while Perry and Dylan run around […]

It feels like these two are always up to something. 🙂 Since having Brody, it seems like their bond has gotten deeper. Whenever I need to feed or change the baby, they are happy to play together. It’s been really incredible seeing them mature in subtle ways – singing to Brody, throwing away a dirty […]

Happy Sunday! This week we spent more time outside, even when it was raining. The kids put on their rain boots and rain jackets and we spent some time splashing around in puddles and seeing who could jump the highest. It was a really sweet moment. Truthfully, I had to pause a few times […]

This is an old photo but I love this Reformation dress and can’t wait to wear it this Spring with some sandals. For now, I’ll settle for the barefoot quarantine look. Happy Sunday, friends. How are you?

Are we on week seven of quarantine? I’m losing track. I can tolerate being home pretty well and for the most part I enjoy it. Lately though, I’m finding myself wondering when this will all be over. Our days have somehow felt both long and short. Between breastfeeding discreetly during Zoom calls and helping the kids make pizza virtually with their class while trying to get Brody to fall asleep, it feels like

Happy Sunday and happy birthday to my son, Dylan! How is it possible that he is three-years-old already? I was initially proud of myself for planning his party two months in advance at an art studio because I knew things would get hectic after the baby’s arrival.

Hello! How are you? The past two weeks have been surreal with incredible highs and terrible lows. In case you missed it, our son, Brody, was born almost two weeks ago. When I think of the day we found out we were pregnant last summer, who could have predicted the circumstances in which Brody would […]

I’m 35 weeks pregnant and quickly approaching my due date. It’s so surreal to me that our lives are about to change again and we’re bringing a new baby into our world. I can’t wait to meet him or her and finally find out the gender! In other news, this weekend we’re celebrating my mom’s leap year birthday and my mother-in-law’s birthday so we’ll be surrounded by love and family. Once the baby comes, we’ll be in hibernation mode so it’s been fun going to birthdays and other events every weekend in anticipation of a stretch of home days. Have a wonderful week and happy Sunday!

Another Sunday Edit for you guys! This weekend, we celebrated my sister-in-law’s birthday on Friday night (with rock climbing) and went axe-throwing (so pregnancy-friendly, I know) for a friend’s birthday on Saturday. I didn’t participate in either of the activities but was happy to play photographer for the night. I’m continuing my home projects and […]

Happy Sunday! I’m 33 weeks pregnant now and everything is feeling very real. I haven’t been preparing much, or really at all, regarding getting things for the baby. However, I have been highly motivated to address various home organization projects in our home. From our pantry to our bathroom and quite literally under the kitchen sink, I finally have the drive to organize high traffic areas of our home. I included some of the organizational tools we’ve been using below in case you’re also motivated to tackle some long-delayed home projects.
