On most days, my weekday wardrobe consists of jeans and a t-shirt because that’s all I have time to put together before chaos takes over. I need something easy to put on so denim and a plain white tee it is. When I want to add something extra (and let’s face it, when I want to be extra), I add a little edge.

In this case, fishnet socks and heels. I’m having a moment with fishnet socks. I love how easily they dress up an otherwise plain outfit. With the holidays approaching, it’s the perfect time to wear fun patterns that you may not typically wear the rest of the year. I’m also planning on wearing these socks with my favorite pair of Mother grey denim.

The other thing I wanted to point out about this look-I have finally found the perfect white t-shirt. I feel like the most basic items are always the hardest to locate. My requirements were something that was soft, had a good fit and was built to last. I bought this Vince white tee during a Shopbop sale last year and have been wearing it ever since. It is pricey but it’s also a closet staple.

I am okay with paying more for something that will last for years to come. There are some items that I would not spend a lot on for a few reasons. Usually it’s because the item is trendy or I know it won’t last very long based on the quality. I wear this shirt almost every week and it is still in great condition. What is your weekday wardrobe?
